Description

The IDC Analytics team is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Business Analyst I to support the analytics foundation for AWS Marketing’s demand generation engine. In this entry-level role, you will deliver analyses, build dashboards, and support data pipelines that power campaign performance reporting across the organization. You’ll work closely with senior analysts and marketing stakeholders to provide accurate, timely reporting while growing your analytical skills.

Role Description & Responsibilities

• Execute analytical requests, including data pulls, ad-hoc analyses, and structured summaries
• Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports in QuickSight
• Write SQL queries against Redshift to extract and transform marketing data for reporting and analysis
• Perform data quality checks and validation for accuracy and consistency across pipelines
• Support senior analysts with measurement frameworks, attribution analyses, and funnel reporting
• Collaborate with data engineering to troubleshoot ETL pipeline issues and improve data reliability
• Use AI tools to accelerate data exploration, query generation, and reporting workflows
• Support development of AI-powered automations for data validation and report generation
• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders into BRDs used by analytics/engineering teams
• Document analytical methodologies, query logic, and reporting processes
• Prepare data summaries and visualizations for weekly and monthly business reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science or related field
• 2+ years of Excel or Tableau experience (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
• Experience with SQL or ETL
