Description

The team is building a new microservices-based banking platform to replace an existing system. You will work across the software lifecycle, combining Java backend development with Angular frontend work. DevOps and Agile practices are supported by a test-driven approach integrated into CI.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code

• Participate in all phases of the software development cycle

• Implement DevOps and Agile practices

• Ensure test-based development (TDD) and close collaboration with QA

• Focus on improving the speed and quality of the development team

• Mentor and support junior team members

• Support the platform: resolve incidents, monitor, and manage problems

• Create automated tools to improve platform support functions

Requirements

• 6+ years of practical experience in developing the Java technology stack

• Experience designing and building microservices with Java 17/21 and Spring Boot

• Experience with TypeScript, Angular, and HTML 5

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL

• Experience configuring and maintaining a DevSecOps pipeline

• 3+ years in an Agile and/or DevOps team

• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions

• Use TDD with JUnit for unit tests; add integration/regression tests; write Cucumber scenarios for end-to-end acceptance—within CI

• Documented experience delivering significant projects from concept to implementation

• Excellent communication skills

• English (min. B2) and Polish (min. B2)

• Willingness to work from the Krakow office 6 times per month

• Independence and openness to learning new technologies and business areas
