Description

You will modernize a Java (evergreen) legacy ecosystem and design scalable solutions using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code. The role focuses on microservices (Java 17 and Spring Boot) and on improving system stability, scalability, and release safety through global engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Modernize and support legacy Java applications in the Java ecosystem with active AI tooling support

• Design and implement scalable technical solutions using Agile methods and microservices

• Participate in Service Delivery, Incident Management, and Problem Management within a global engineering community

• Develop monitoring, alerting, incident detection, capacity management, and release safety mechanisms

• Analyze technical and business requirements and provide technology guidance with close collaboration with Product Owners, IT architects, and management

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years developing, maintaining, and evolving distributed systems in Java

• Very good knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST API, and databases (including Redis)

• Practical experience designing microservices architecture; experience with cloud environments (GCP)

• CI/CD automation experience (Jenkins, Ansible)

• Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (Jira, Confluence)

• Security vulnerability remediation experience; frontend knowledge (Angular) is a plus

• Strong analytical skills and ability to clearly explain complex technical topics

• Fluent English communication (spoken and written)
