• Role: Junior Information Systems Administrator (Networks & Security)

Description

Help the IT team grow in networks and security. You will assist with firewall administration, handle day-to-day network requests and incidents in LAN/WAN environments, and work with monitoring and logs (syslog, SNMP; later SIEM). You’ll also contribute to security improvements such as segmentation, logging, access management, and rule cleanup, while documenting configuration changes and maintaining standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing firewalls, especially rules, NAT, and basic troubleshooting

• Handle routine network requests and incidents in LAN/WAN (e.g., VLAN, connectivity, routing)

• Work with monitoring and logs (syslog, SNMP; later SIEM)

• Support security enhancements (segmentation, logging, access management, reducing unnecessary rules)

• Document changes and keep firewall/network configurations and standards in order

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, NAT, VPN

• Willingness to learn, look up information, and ask questions when unsure

• Carefulness and responsibility with production-environment changes

• Ability to communicate the impact of changes
