Description

You will develop and enhance systems supporting claims reporting and handling, working with both microservice-based and monolithic architectures. The role includes designing scalable architectures for high-volume transaction environments, implementing REST APIs and integrations, and ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. You will also raise software quality through automated testing, participate in code reviews, and use AI-assisted tooling across development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and extend claims processing systems in microservices and monolith architectures
• Participate in system architecture design and technology selection
• Design and implement microservices and services for key business processes
• Design and implement REST APIs and integrate between systems
• Use Apache Kafka to enable communication between services
• Modernize and improve selected business IT processes
• Improve software quality with automated tests and good programming practices
• Build and maintain an automated test pyramid across multiple testing levels
• Participate in code review to ensure code quality and consistency
• Use AI tools to support analysis, implementation, testing, and software development
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate daily in an Agile team
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of commercial Java development experience
• Very good knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Hibernate/JPA
• Very good knowledge of Apache Kafka
• Very good knowledge of SQL
• Practical experience designing and developing microservice architectures
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
• Practical knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Knowledge of Angular and experience building or extending front-end applications
• Experience designing and maintaining high-scale systems with high transaction volume
• Ability to use AI tools in the software development process
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Ability to work in a code-quality-focused environment with collaboration and knowledge sharing
