Description

You will develop and maintain modern microservices-based systems supporting processes related to claims handling. The role includes building and evolving APIs and integrations between systems, implementing service-to-service communication (especially with Apache Kafka), and ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability. You will also use AI and agentic AI approaches across requirements analysis, implementation, testing, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices for claims-related processes

• Design and build APIs and system integrations

• Implement service communication mechanisms, especially with Apache Kafka

• Ensure code quality through best practices, automated testing, and regular code reviews

• Create and maintain unit and integration tests

• Analyze application performance and troubleshoot issues

• Apply AI/agentic AI solutions across the software development lifecycle

• Identify practical use cases for agentic AI in day-to-day development work

• Participate in code reviews and use tools supporting security and software quality

• Work in an Agile/Scrum team and contribute to development standards and AI usage practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of Java programming

• 3+ years practical experience with Apache Kafka

• Very good knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and SQL

• Experience with testing frameworks/tools: JUnit, TestNG, Spock, Testcontainers, WireMock

• Experience building and maintaining microservices-based applications

• Knowledge of OOP and Functional Programming paradigms

• Practical knowledge of application containerization

• Knowledge of BPMN engines and BPMN notation

• Knowledge of resilience patterns/mechanisms for distributed systems

• Knowledge of Angular and experience building frontend applications

• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum
