Description

You will develop and deliver enterprise security architecture strategy, action plans, and reference models aligned with business priorities. You will define and evolve security architecture frameworks, standards, and patterns using SABSA, and act as a senior technical advisor by translating complex risks into clear guidance for leadership and cross-functional teams. You will oversee architectural governance, collaborate to implement secure-by-design technologies, and continuously improve security capabilities as threats and business needs evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of security architecture strategy, roadmaps, and reference models

  • Define and mature security architecture frameworks, standards, and patterns using SABSA

  • Advise senior leadership on risk with clear, actionable guidance

  • Govern architecture across programs by reviewing and ensuring security, regulatory, and operational compliance

  • Partner with engineering and product teams to assess and implement security technologies (secure-by-design)

  • Ensure security capabilities are integrated and continually improved to address evolving threats and business needs

  • Lead cross-functional efforts for complex security initiatives using practical problem-solving

  • Co-create and improve security policies, standards, and guidelines to raise overall security maturity

  • Engage with senior stakeholders to align priorities and communicate risk

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; relevant experience considered instead of a degree

  • 10–12 years of information security experience, including at least 4 years as an enterprise Security Architect

  • CISSP or SABSA certifications preferred

  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, client/server architecture, and cloud security across multiple cloud providers

  • SABSA framework knowledge preferred

  • Knowledge of security technologies, standards, and frameworks including NIST

  • Ability to translate complex security concepts into clear, implementable risk insights for diverse collaborators

  • Documented ability to collaborate across teams to support security initiatives with a pragmatic, risk-based approach

  • Experience with threat modeling and producing architecture documentation and architectural deliverables

  • Ability to create presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Clear communication skills and ability to build positive relationships

  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking for complex security challenges

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment

  • Documented experience working with geographically distributed teams
