Description

Build production-grade backend solutions and scalable full-stack features for an AI-focused insurance platform. You’ll solve problems at the intersection of large, performant data pipelines, distributed systems, machine learning models, and robust infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with a global team to deliver backend solutions as the product scales.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers to build scalable, reliable backend solutions

• Work on advanced systems including NLP, firmographic data, and entity resolution

• Drive iterative improvements with a strong focus on quality

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production systems

• Experience with a modern frontend framework, preferably React

• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills; comfort with Python

• Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem solving

• Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL

• Experience with cloud environments and serverless technologies (Lambda, EC2)

• Experience with asynchronous workflows

• Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion with limited oversight

• Proactive communication: surface blockers and keep stakeholders in the loop

• Iterative improvement mindset with strong quality focus

• Curiosity about AI, data, and real-world ML applications
