Description

You will work on backend development in Java for an omnichannel platform supporting deposit products and customer-contact channels. The role includes designing, implementing, and evolving business logic and integration services, integrating systems via REST API, asynchronous messaging (Kafka), and SOAP/XML. You will also diagnose and fix issues, optimize application performance, and support code quality through reviews.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle and/or PostgreSQL

• Create database migrations using Liquibase

• Integrate system components via REST API and asynchronous communication with Kafka

• Design and develop new functionality for insurance-related products

• Debug and resolve errors; optimize application performance

• Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito)

• Integrate with external systems via SOAP/XML

• Perform code review to ensure code quality

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of commercial Java programming

• Very good knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and REST/SOAP/XML/Kafka integrations

• Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL, SQL, and Liquibase

• Knowledge of unit and integration testing with JUnit and Mockito

• Practical knowledge of Git and database transactions

• Experience in the banking or insurance sector

• Ability to provide services in Warsaw
