Description

You will build and evolve cloud-native backend systems in Java and Spring with PostgreSQL, while working in a Continuous Delivery setup with fast feedback. The role includes integrating AI capabilities (LLMs, embeddings, RAG pipelines, and hybrid search) and contributing to architecture and technical decisions. Optional frontend work with React and TypeScript is available if you want to see features from database through to UI.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services in Java and Spring
• Build and run Continuous Delivery using GitLab CI
• Operate and improve applications in the cloud (AWS and Google Cloud) with Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement and integrate AI features (LLM providers, embeddings, RAG)
• Integrate search and tooling (LangChain, hybrid search using Elasticsearch + Vector DB)
• Ensure observability using ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Collaborate on architecture and technical decisions across the team

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java and Spring
• Experience developing new systems from the ground up
• Strong TDD practices and focus on code quality
• Ability to work effectively in a Continuous Delivery environment
• Experience with cloud-native development and understanding of production operations
• Comfort with CI pipelines and occasional support for Kubernetes and cloud environment troubleshooting
• Interest in AI-assisted development using provided tooling
