Description

Execute validation testing for vehicle systems and components, including ePowertrain transmission systems, transmissions, and clutch components. Prepare, track, and manage testing activities and test-bench development projects according to customer requirements, global standards, and IATF guidelines. Define test requirements, design and improve test methods (hardware, software, instrumentation, and measurement systems), analyze results for root causes, and maintain validation documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage validation testing and test-bench development

• Define test requirements and collaborate with global engineering teams

• Design, implement, and continuously improve test benches, fixtures, and automated test systems

• Develop and maintain laboratory test equipment; support engineers and technicians as a technical resource

• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and recommend technical solutions

• Create and maintain Work Instructions, Test Reports, and validation records

• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers across global regions

• Support and mentor junior engineers and technicians

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field

• 5–7 years of experience in automotive testing, validation, or laboratory engineering

• Advanced understanding of automotive systems

• Validation methodologies and test planning for mechanical and mechatronic systems

• Expertise in instrumentation, automation, and measurement systems

• Understanding of mechanical failure modes, especially for transmission and powertrain systems

• Test bench design and development experience

• Data analysis and root cause investigation skills

• Fundamental knowledge of IATF and ISO 17025 requirements

• Knowledge of Vector and Jira tools
