Description

You will design, build, and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks from scratch, focusing mainly on backend and API testing with additional coverage for frontend/UI. Responsibilities include integration, system, E2E, and UAT testing, close collaboration with developers, code reviews, PoCs/new tools, and technical mentoring. The role expects strong Java expertise and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch

• Plan and execute integration, system, E2E, and UAT testing

• Automate backend and API tests (primary focus) and frontend/UI tests

• Partner with development teams to understand critical application paths and ensure product stability

• Perform code reviews and apply good programming practices (SOLID, KISS, OOP)

• Create PoC solutions, introduce new tools, and support technical innovation

• Mentor and provide subject-matter support to other team members

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in test automation

• Very strong Java skills, including advanced language features (Stream API, Optional, lambdas) and memory management

• Practical experience creating automation frameworks from zero

• API test automation experience with RestAssured and Postman

• Backend knowledge: HTTP, authentication/authorization, idempotency, API response architecture

• Web/UI automation tools: Selenium/Selenide, Cucumber, TestNG/JUnit

• Proficiency with Git

• CI/CD tooling knowledge

• Jira experience (Xray is a plus)

• Strong understanding of SDLC

• Autonomy in technical decisions and resilience under project pressure

• Proactive attitude, strong communication, and willingness to mentor
