Join a Senior Site Reliability Engineering role on the Vault Platform team to ensure enterprise application scalability and reliability at global scale. You will build cloud infrastructure, lead incident triage and mitigation, automate manual work, and use full-stack diagnostics to determine root causes. The position emphasizes backend engineering with deep Java expertise and modern open-source and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build new cloud infrastructure from scratch using software development best practices

• Ensure platform scalability and reliability for hundreds of global customers

• Lead incident management, including triage and mitigation (on-call may be required)

• Automate and optimize processes to reduce issue resolution time

• Perform full-stack diagnostics and root-cause analysis for production problems

• Partner with engineering on complex problems and scalability considerations

• Participate in design reviews to improve operational efficiency and platform scalability

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Design, and QA

• Communicate effectively during outages with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Mentor team members and contribute to a high-performing team environment

Requirements

• 5+ years of Java development experience

• Hands-on operational experience in production environments with incident management and root cause analysis

• Proven ability to write clean, testable, readable, and maintainable code

• Hands-on experience with open-source technologies such as Spring, MySQL, Hibernate, Solr, Maven, Git, Tomcat, Linux, AWS, Vagrant, Docker, and Kubernetes

• 3+ years of relational database experience with expert SQL skills

• Scripting proficiency with Shell/Bash, Ansible, Python, Go, or Ruby

• Demonstrated incident leadership and communication across levels

• Proven mentorship impact
