Description

You will design and implement APIs and cloud-based Java applications, including REST/GraphQL services and modular architectures such as microservices. The position emphasizes SOLID and Clean Code practices, modern Java frameworks, test automation, CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and Infrastructure as Code. You may also work on time-series data processing and contribute to IoT-related projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement APIs for multiple applications

• Build and maintain cloud-based applications

• Ensure SOLID and Clean Code compliance in development

• Apply and evolve software design patterns to solve complex problems

• Participate in architecture decisions and conceptualize software solutions

• Use modern Java frameworks to build efficient software

• Implement and manage modularization concepts such as microservices

• Run software tests and apply test automation tools

• Integrate modern Azure-based services into the software architecture

• Collaborate to implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines

• Containerize applications to improve deployment processes

• Analyze and process time-series data in specialized databases

• Use monitoring tools for performance monitoring

• Apply Infrastructure as Code to automate infrastructure

• Contribute to IoT projects

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of API development, particularly REST and/or GraphQL

• Proven experience developing applications in cloud environments such as Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, GCP and/or AWS

• Secure handling of SOLID principles and Clean Code practices

• In-depth understanding and application of software design patterns

• Strong architecture understanding and ability to conceptualize complex software solutions

• Knowledge of at least one modern Java framework (Spring Boot, Quarkus, and/or Micronaut)

• Experience with modularization concepts (microservices, Modulith, or FaaS)

• Routine use of test automation tools (JUnit, Mockito)

• Familiarity with modern Azure-based services and event-driven designs across the software development lifecycle

• Experience with NoSQL databases

• Practical experience with CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

• Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, Podman)

• Experience with time-series databases and processing

• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana

• Initial experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Pulumi)

• Interest and/or experience in IoT
