Description

You will design, develop, and maintain Java applications with a focus on scalable microservices. The role includes backend REST API development and improving performance, reliability, security, and maintainability. You will also troubleshoot complex production issues and help evolve CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Java applications, especially scalable microservices

• Participate in architectural decisions and apply design patterns and engineering best practices

• Ensure high performance, reliability, security, and ease of maintenance

• Follow SDLC best practices and collaborate closely with architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders

• Perform code reviews and maintain code quality and readability

• Diagnose and resolve complex production environment problems

• Develop and support CI/CD pipeline processes

• Propose and implement improvements to the software delivery process

• Take ownership for quality and timely delivery

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Java experience, including practical experience with Java 17

• Strong knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot

• Experience designing and building REST APIs and backend services

• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture

• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and Clean Code

• Practical experience with ORM frameworks and SQL databases

• Ability to optimize SQL queries

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes, DevOps practices, and SDLC best practices

• Experience creating unit, integration, and automated tests using JUnit and Mockito

• Strong Git knowledge and modern branching strategies

• Knowledge of secure coding and experience with security scanning tools

• Understanding of logging, metrics, monitoring, and tracing

• Experience supporting and diagnosing production systems
