Description

Lead application and production reliability for in-house systems under general direction. Design and build automation for monitoring, deployment, and release management, and enable DevOps and IT Service Management practices. Provide technical guidance and act as a consultant/architect to align teams on complex solutions and validate proposed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee application tasks related to in-house airline-process applications

• Operate production systems under general direction

• Design and build automation for scalability and efficiency

• Develop tools and scripts for monitoring, deployment, and automation

• Build automation supporting the release management process

• Support and enable DevOps teams, processes, and IT Service Management disciplines

• Perform analysis, provide guidance, and deliver system solutions based on stakeholder requirements

• Collaborate with technical managers and experts to validate architectures and solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of software or system engineering experience

• 2+ years of SRE or platform reliability experience

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform

• Cloud experience with complex requirements

• Experience developing and integrating with APIs

• Strong expertise in automation and DevOps tools

• Scripting proficiency: Python/Ruby/Bash/PowerShell

• Knowledge of orchestration technologies and techniques

• Security best practices for data, network, and information security

• Strong analytical, data-driven mindset

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and a proactive attitude

• Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation
