Cloud Network Engineer

Work on designing and evolving scalable, resilient cloud networking architecture in Google Cloud, including hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity. You will build Software-Defined Networking approaches, automate network provisioning, and implement routing, load balancing, NAT, and DNS along with security policies and segmentation. The role includes troubleshooting network incidents, optimizing reliability and performance, maintaining operational standards, and collaborating with technical and business teams.

Role Description

• Co-create and develop network architecture on GCP
• Design scalable LAN/WAN network topologies
• Develop hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity solutions
• Apply Software Defined Networking and automate network configuration

Responsibilities

• GCP network architecture & design: VPC, NCC, Cloud Router, routing, load balancing, Cloud NAT, Cloud DNS
• Hybrid connectivity: Cloud Interconnect, VPC Peering, Cloud VPN
• Design highly available and resilient networking environments
• GCP network deployment & configuration
• Automate provisioning using Terraform (IaC), Ansible, and CI/CD
• Develop GitOps practices for infrastructure
• Implement security policies and segmentation (Fortinet, Palo Alto NGFW)
• Manage Cisco infrastructure (ISR/ASR, Catalyst, Nexus)
• Deploy VPN (IPSec, SSL VPN) and GRE tunnels
• Maintain and improve environments by diagnosing complex data center and GCP incidents
• Optimize network performance and reliability
• Develop documentation and operational standards
• Coordinate with technology and business teams on network solutions

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Cloud Networking experience in GCP
• Strong networking fundamentals (CCNA/CCNP level or equivalent)
• Experience with automation and understanding GitOps
• Experience in network security (Fortinet, Palo Alto)
• Good knowledge of dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP)
• Experience with VPN (IPSec, SSL VPN)
• Willingness for on-call duties
• English communication at least B2
• Valid driver’s license category B
