Description

Academic geriatric faculty physician role focused on providing optimal care to older adult patients while fulfilling teaching, research, and academic responsibilities. You will provide consultative services to colleagues and serve as a clinician educator for Geriatrics Fellows, Internal Medicine residents, Family Medicine residents, and medical students through hands-on clinical teaching. Responsibilities include inpatient consult coverage and skilled nursing facility coverage, plus participation in educational and administrative conferences and interdisciplinary initiatives.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consultations for older adult patients

• Cover and care for patients in skilled nursing facilities

• Deliver hands-on clinical teaching to trainees and students

• Participate in educational and administrative conferences as directed by your supervisor

• Collaborate with faculty and interdisciplinary professionals

• Support initiatives including the Age Friendly Health System and the Landon Center on Aging

Requirements

• MD or DO
