Description

You will combine database administration and system stability with platform development initiatives. The work includes monitoring availability, stability, and performance, provisioning and administering SQL Server databases, troubleshooting incidents and performance issues, and advising clients on technical needs. You will also develop and standardize the Microsoft SQL Server environment, create and maintain technical documentation, and collaborate with other teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor availability, stability, and performance of Microsoft SQL Server databases

• Provision, configure, and administer SQL Server databases

• Analyze and resolve technical incidents and support tickets

• Troubleshoot database performance and availability problems

• Provide technical guidance to clients and analyze their requirements

• Develop and standardize the SQL Server environment

• Create and maintain technical documentation

• Collaborate with other teams on platform development and maintenance

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in database system administration

• Very good knowledge of relational databases

• Practical, in-depth experience administering Microsoft SQL Server

• Experience with High Availability solutions

• Ability to diagnose availability and performance issues

• Completed vocational education in an IT-related field

• Very good communication and ability to collaborate with clients and other teams

• Independence and ability to take responsibility for technical tasks

• English at least B2

• German knowledge is a plus
