Description

You will design and develop secure, reliable, and scalable software for Linux-based embedded devices that power access control and intrusion security product families. The role spans embedded platform architecture, connectivity, cybersecurity, and device management, collaborating with multiple engineering and product teams across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software for Embedded Linux based security products

  • Build platform services, communication layers, and application components for access control and intrusion

  • Contribute to software architecture discussions and technical design reviews

  • Develop and maintain networking and communication interfaces (Ethernet, TCP/IP, RS485, OSDP, BLE, and other protocols)

  • Customize and maintain Embedded Linux distributions using Yocto or Buildroot

  • Implement cybersecurity features (Secure Boot, secure software updates, device authentication, encrypted communication)

  • Develop Python-based tools for automation, diagnostics, testing, and manufacturing/engineering support

  • Optimize performance, reliability, memory usage, startup time, and overall platform stability

  • Troubleshoot complex software and integration issues across hardware and software

  • Support verification, validation, certification, and production readiness

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and design specifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or similar)

  • 3+ years of embedded software development experience

  • Strong embedded Linux development experience

  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python

  • Practical experience with Yocto and/or Buildroot

  • Strong Linux fundamentals

  • Experience with networking and communication solution design

  • Git and modern version control workflows

  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

  • Independence, creativity, and problem-solving ability

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
