Description

You will work with your pod’s Product Owner and Development Lead to design, develop, and deliver software solutions that meet stakeholder needs. You will collaborate with cybersecurity experts to iteratively deliver features, refine requirements, and propose technologies that help keep the bank secure. You will ensure operability of services via troubleshooting (L2/L3), bug fixing, automated tests, and technical documentation, while contributing to process streamlining through automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver software features aligned with stakeholder requirements
• Refine requirements in collaboration with cybersecurity experts and propose secure technical solutions
• Follow team design/development patterns and identify bottlenecks to improve engineering efficiency
• Follow governance for requirements intake, release, and incident management; streamline processes via automation
• Maintain service operability: L2/L3 troubleshooting, bug fixes, automated test cases, and documentation
• Perform peer reviews and support/lead junior developers

Requirements

• Extensive Python web development experience (FastAPI preferred; Flask and/or Django)
• Strong microservice architecture knowledge and implementation experience (CQRS, SAGA, event sourcing)
• Experience building and deploying services to containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong SQL skills, including complex query construction
• Knowledge of cloud data warehouse technologies (BigQuery, RedShift)
• Linux sysadmin skills and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, subnetting)
• Proficiency with Git and experience with branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based)
• Reasonable frontend development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Test-driven mindset with automated tests (unit, integration, functional, non-functional)
• Knowledge of agile and DevSecOps in a highly regulated environment; comfortable with Jira and Confluence
• Experience in Market Risk (production or project roles) and knowledge of Market Risk concepts/measures
• Python automation experience; quick learner and independent—able to adapt to models and project dynamics
