Description

You will lead development and maintenance of FICC Pricing Applications, delivering new requirements and fixing bugs/defects. You will work with business stakeholders and product owners to turn objectives into user stories, while driving automation, performance optimization, and production stability. You will also own CI/CD and DevOps tooling and ensure appropriate testing against requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop code for new requirements and fix defects according to agreed standards and best practices

• Contribute to requirements gathering and delivery planning to meet business partners’ needs in quality and on-time delivery

• Consult with business stakeholders to understand objectives and develop user stories with product owners and analysts

• Identify transformation opportunities and automate them

• Map requirements to delivery schedules and pipelines; coordinate with the testing team so test cases match requirements

• Review solutions, identify potential issues, and recommend strategies to resolve problems

• Provide support to the project technical lead responsible for delivery

• Perform technology and business-process research to apply best practices for stakeholder delivery

Requirements

• 7+ years of Java engineering experience as an individual contributor, with the ability to mentor others

• Track record of driving platform improvements, including performance optimization and production stability

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative Agile environment

• Proven experience with Vertex, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture

• Experience with Elasticsearch and ELK

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus

• Exposure to message-driven architectures using JMS, IBM MQ / Artemis / Solace

• Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and cybersecurity tools (e.g., TeamCity/Jenkins, JIRA/Confluence, NexusIQ, Checkmarx)

• Hands-on experience with RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)

• Familiarity with Unit Test, Regression Test, and e2e testing; proficiency with Git (and Subversion tools)

• In-depth knowledge of Trade Life cycle and Straight Through Processing (STP)
