Description

You will translate bank business requirements into clear technical specifications, own delivery end-to-end (planning, timelines, risk reporting), and validate that outputs solve the original problem—including edge cases. Work spans implementing new banks (with an implementation team) and supporting existing clients with ad hoc data requests. In the future, you will also lead a small team of direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Convert business requirements into technical task specifications

• Own delivery: split work, manage deadlines, negotiate team capacity, and communicate with the client

• Proactively identify and report risks before they become client issues

• Validate the delivered result against the full original problem, including edge cases

• Lead a small team (1:1 feedback, development, work allocation, later hiring)

• Run client meetings: collect and clarify data requirements, and present the completed solution

• Balance time between new-bank implementations and ongoing support for existing clients

Requirements

• 2+ years in a role where you translated business requirements into technical specs (e.g., business analyst, product owner, delivery/project manager, consultant)

• Experience with acceptance: define what “done” means and return work that does not meet it

• SQL proficiency at a self-sufficient level (joins, aggregations, window functions, navigating unknown schemas)

• Sound judgment and willingness to verify answers in the data; ensure external work outputs make sense

• Practical ability to use AI tools to speed up delivery, with critical verification and knowing when to stop iterating

• Structured written communication so developers don’t need to ask follow-up questions

• English C1 for spoken and written communication with banks; Czech or Slovak for internal communication
