Description

You will join a team delivering a transformational IT rollout by supporting and maintaining an AS/400-based ERP solution used across multiple factories in Europe. The role focuses on RPG-based business applications—primarily enhancements, debugging, and operational support—while also contributing to modernization (classic 5250 screens, web UIs, microservices, and Java programs).

Responsibilities

• Further develop, debug, and support the Pack2000 ERP system and related applications
• Adapt existing functionality and ensure proper testing and deployment
• Document processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Support modernization efforts across classic 5250 screens, web-based UIs, microservices, and Java programs
• Provide professional support to a diverse user base

Requirements

• Proficiency in ILE-RPG and RPG free
• Extensive development experience on AS/400
• Experience with microservices and JSON
• Familiarity with VSCode editor
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Background in business systems, preferably in production companies
• Solid knowledge of IBM i / OS400 operating systems
• Excellent English communication skills
