ERP Technical Consultant (Business Central Developer)

Description

You will learn Business Central deeply—from how users experience processes and modules to what happens in the background (data model, code, integrations). The role combines consulting (gathering and clarifying requirements), analysis and solution design, and hands-on programming in AL for D365 Business Central, starting under mentor guidance. Over time you’ll take ownership of your own customer topics and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Learn Business Central end-to-end (user view and background components)
• Consult customers: gather requirements, understand processes, explain options, agree on what will be delivered
• Analyze needs and design solutions (turn “we need it differently” into concrete tasks and modification proposals)
• Program AL extensions for D365 Business Central (from small tweaks to own modules), initially with a mentor
• Test, deploy, and support solutions through customer go-live
• Gradually take over a personal agenda: own customers, responsibility, and decision-making

Requirements

• Technical background from IT education or experience (development, testing, system administration, technical support, implementations, data analysis)
• Programming ability in any language; must understand code and feel comfortable with it
• Understand what ERP is and how it serves businesses; motivation to go deep in one system
• Strong communication with non-technical people; ability to extract clear requirements and explain feasibility
• Analytical mindset, careful work, and willingness to work independently
• Advanced Czech; English at least to read documentation and training
