Description

You will provide end-to-end support for your own SMB/SME customer landscape and advise customers on modern, future-proof IT architectures. The role includes planning, implementing, and continuously improving IT solutions and projects, including complex installation, configuration, and automation, as well as migrations and modernization initiatives. You will also handle tickets with analysis, change work, and troubleshooting while ensuring quality, transparency, and clean documentation.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end care of your own customer environments (SMB & KMU)
• Consult customers on modern, future-proof IT architectures
• Plan, implement, and further develop IT solutions and IT projects
• Install, configure, and automate complex IT environments
• Conduct migrations, modernization, and renewal projects
• Handle tickets including analysis, change work, and troubleshooting
• Ensure quality, transparency, and thorough documentation
• Work closely with colleagues, customers, manufacturers, and partners
• Actively share knowledge in the team and support each other

Requirements

• Completed IT training (e.g., Fachinformatiker/in Systemintegration) or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience as a System Engineer, ideally in IT services or data center operations
• Strong practical knowledge of Windows Server infrastructure (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file services)
• Solid experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox)
• Experience with server, storage, and backup solutions (e.g., HPE, Dell, NetApp, Pure Storage, Veeam Backup & Replication)
• Knowledge of networking & security, especially firewalling (FortiGate, Sophos, pfSense)
• Knowledge of switching & WLAN (Cisco, HPE Aruba, UniFi)
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (introduction, migration, operations)
• Basic project management knowledge and experience planning and implementing your own IT projects
• Structured, self-organized way of working and high responsibility
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer/partner collaboration mindset
• High willingness to learn and motivation to quickly adopt new technologies
• Very good German language skills (written and spoken)
