Description

Lead high-impact UX research across a product area to understand customer needs, evaluate emerging concepts, and improve live experiences. You will run end-to-end research programs, translate complex findings into actionable recommendations, and influence roadmaps and prioritization with credible customer evidence. You will also explore thoughtful ways to use AI to improve the speed, depth, or quality of research and product development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end research programs: study design, recruitment, moderation, analysis, synthesis, and communication of findings

  • Conduct research across methods: rapid evaluations, foundational interviews, surveys, diary studies, journey research, and mixed-methods programs

  • Partner with Design, Product, Engineering, and Applied Science to inform strategy, evaluate concepts and prototypes, and improve live customer experiences

  • Define research plans for ambiguous, high-risk spaces using strong methodological judgment

  • Identify unmet customer needs, product gaps, adoption barriers, and trust issues early to de-risk investments

  • Translate findings into recommendations that improve usability, adoption, trust, and customer experience quality

  • Influence roadmaps and prioritization by making customer evidence visible, credible, and actionable

  • Build domain expertise through ongoing study of customer workflows, prototypes, competitive products, and industry trends

  • Mentor junior researchers and raise research quality, consistency, and impact

  • Explore ways to use AI in the research and product development process

Requirements

  • 5+ years leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with field research, ethnography, lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design

  • Bachelor’s degree in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related field

  • Experience across all research phases: study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, and reporting

  • Experience with behavioral data collection, quantitative data analysis, and statistics

  • Portfolio demonstrating past work and deliverables (study plans, reports, personas)
