Description

Work with ISV leadership and engineering teams whose software supports critical state/local services such as 911 dispatch, digital evidence, court case management, permitting/licensing, and benefits eligibility. You run discovery, lead architectural deep dives, and build prototypes/reference implementations to validate patterns before ISVs commit—then unblock their engineers to move toward production systems. You do not ship production features in the ISV’s product.

Responsibilities

• Guide ISV architecture decisions and prescribe solutions across compute, data, networking, identity, and databases
• Conduct discovery with engineering and product teams to understand platform constraints and government buyer requirements
• Lead generative AI work on Amazon Bedrock: agentic patterns, retrieval-augmented generation, guardrails, evaluation, and responsible AI
• Help convert AI prototypes into production-grade systems meeting public sector requirements
• Modernize legacy platforms onto AWS using phased strategies such as strangler fig, replatforming, and domain decomposition
• Explain how compliance requirements shape architecture in regulated environments, including CJIS, StateRAMP, FedRAMP, HIPAA, and data residency
• Communicate architecture trade-offs to CTO/VP Engineering and government CIO audiences
• Help ISVs adopt AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro and Amazon Q Developer
