Description

You will build proactive, AI-native Android applications where AI interactions are central to the product. You will own the mobile client experience on-device—how AI feels, behaves, and performs—with a focus on performance, reliability, and responsiveness. This is not a thin-client role; AI behavior and UX are implemented in the production app.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production Android apps using Kotlin

• Integrate AI features (chat, vision, voice, recommendations) via backend APIs

• Design UX patterns for AI workflows (streaming responses, retries, partial results)

• Optimize app performance, memory, and responsiveness for AI-heavy flows

• Implement analytics, logging, and feedback loops for AI evaluation

• Collaborate with backend and ML engineers on API contracts and system behavior

Requirements

• 3+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin

• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML features (LLMs, vision, speech APIs)

• Strong grasp of asynchronous programming (Coroutines, Flow)

• Familiarity with REST or gRPC APIs

• Solid skills in performance profiling, debugging, and handling network latency or non-deterministic outputs

• Experience with MLKit or lightweight on-device inference

• Published production apps on the Google Play Store
