Description

Own high-impact end-to-end Android product experiences for ChatGPT Library, from exploration and technical design through implementation, experimentation, launch, and iteration. Build scalable, maintainable foundations and continuously improve the architecture, performance, reliability, and responsiveness of content-rich experiences across Android devices. Integrate Android platform capabilities to deliver intuitive, deeply native experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship new Android experiences that help users access, organize, and build on their ChatGPT-created content.
• Own features end to end: exploration, technical design, implementation, experimentation, launch, and iteration.
• Develop scalable and maintainable foundations to evolve Libraries experiences as new AI capabilities emerge.
• Improve architecture, performance, reliability, and responsiveness across a wide range of Android devices.
• Integrate Android platform capabilities for intuitive, native mobile UX.
• Partner with product, design, research, data science, and engineering to translate emerging AI capabilities into polished products.
• Help set technical direction and raise the Android development quality bar.

Requirements

• Track record of building and shipping high-quality Android products used at scale.
• Deep expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, the Android SDK, and modern Android architecture.
• Strong focus on product quality (performance, reliability, accessibility, responsiveness, and visual polish).
• Ability to own complex product experiences across the full Android stack.
• Product instincts and ability to turn ambiguity into simple, intuitive experiences.
• Ability to design scalable, maintainable systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams (product, design, research, data science, engineering).

Benefits

• Compensation range: $185K - $405K
