Description

You’ll build and deliver end-to-end features for Android-based mobile apps used in busy restaurant environments. Work spans the full product development lifecycle with fast feedback loops, continuous delivery, and a strong focus on product quality and maintainability. You’ll primarily develop in Kotlin/Android, with opportunities to contribute to backend services and API integration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver software components and improvements, including refactoring and deprecation work

• Write clean, secure, and well-tested code

• Build tools and integrate systems to scale product effectiveness

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver user-focused end-to-end features

• Participate in the full lifecycle: code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and release

• Improve continuously with empathy and consideration

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience developing and shipping Android applications in Kotlin (production/Play Store advantage)

• Solid command of Jetpack libraries and modern Android architecture (MVVM or MVI, ViewModel, Navigation, Kotlin Coroutines and Flow) and hands-on Jetpack Compose

• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs with error handling, caching, and offline strategies (Retrofit/OkHttp, Room)

• Experience with dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger or Koin) and modularized codebases

• Proficiency writing unit and UI tests (JUnit, Espresso/Compose testing) and a habit of testing your own work

• Confident with Git workflows and familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Fastlane)

• Understanding of app performance, memory management, and debugging/profiling tools

• Ability to work independently on medium-sized features from ticket to release, estimate realistically, and mentor juniors through code review

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) with strong judgment about validating AI-generated code

• Strong communication skills; fluent written and spoken English (daily use)
