Description

Lead AI-powered engineering and development across CRM capabilities to deliver AI-enabled solutions that reduce manual effort and enhance the intelligence of commercial field tools embedded in the Veeva CRM UIX layer. Drive an AI-first engineering approach with AI coding assistants, LLM-augmented workflows, and automated testing, while simplifying legacy configurations through intelligent automation. Own UIX strategy, CRM platform administration, integrations, CI/CD, governance, and technical leadership for a global team.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead AI-powered Engineering & Development for CRM capabilities and measurable business value

  • Embed AI coding assistants, LLM-augmented workflows, and automated testing into day-to-day engineering

  • Simplify the platform by rationalizing legacy configurations and automating manual workflows

  • Lead agentic AI experiments and enterprise pilots using CRM APIs and third-party data

  • Establish AI governance and responsible AI frameworks for CRM engineering (policy, privacy, explainability, validated systems)

  • Lead end-to-end Veeva CRM UIX strategy and architecture for rep/manager screens, MyInsights/X-Pages, and embedded dashboards

  • Define and enforce UIX design standards, component libraries, and reusable UI patterns

  • Lead Veeva CRM platform administration (users/territories, security, profiles/permissions, workflows, approvals, automation triggers, SSO, reporting/dashboards, data loading)

  • Govern environment strategy (sandbox/UAT/staging/production) with promotion workflows and change management aligned to validated systems

  • Deliver custom development using Java SDK, scripting (Groovy/JavaScript/Shell), and Veeva frameworks

  • Design and implement CRM integrations (REST/SOAP, middleware connectors, event-driven pipelines, batch exchanges) with MDM, ERP, AI/ML services, Veeva Vault, Salesforce

  • Drive CI/CD adoption and DevOps best practices for GxP/GCP-compliant release automation

  • Prototype and demonstrate CRM and AI capabilities via proof-of-concepts

  • Lead technical risk management and remediation programs across the CRM platform estate

  • Lead and inspire a globally distributed team of CRM developers, administrators, UIX engineers, and AI specialists

  • Manage vendor/partner relationships and drive SLA accountability

  • Partner with Product Owners and cross-matrix IT teams to translate business needs into scalable AI-enabled CRM solutions

  • Drive global delivery governance and executive communications for risks/issues/status

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field

  • 9+ years overall IT experience across CRM development, platform administration, and enterprise delivery, including senior technical leadership

  • 5+ years hands-on Veeva CRM experience (platform administration, UIX/MyInsights/X-Pages, security, custom development, controllers/workflows, SSO, reporting/dashboards, data loading, integrations)

  • 3+ years custom development experience with Java and/or Veeva Java SDK and JavaScript or equivalent scripting

  • 1+ years applied AI/ML or generative AI/intelligent automation experience in enterprise CRM/field environments

  • 4+ years SDLC (Agile/Waterfall) and validated, regulated systems delivery plus cloud-native application development

  • Demonstrated experience with CRM integrations via REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or event-driven architectures

  • Demonstrated experience leading globally distributed engineering teams

  • At least 2 active relevant technical certifications

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to present to leadership
