Description

Shape scalable data architecture that enables better, faster decision-making from discovery through early development. Translate business strategy into digital solutions by connecting data, platforms, and processes, and partner with business and IT teams to define and implement the architectural vision.

Responsibilities

  • Design data models and metadata systems

  • Provide oversight and guidance to other data architects

  • Design and support data dictionaries and enforce architectural standards

  • Ensure systems are built according to appropriate data architecture

  • Communicate complex needs and data insights between technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Perform data profiling and source-system analysis; synthesize and present insights

  • Evolve and define data governance and assure/integrate data services

  • Apply data innovation insights for emerging data tools and techniques

  • Produce and align data models across multiple subject areas using industry patterns

  • Manage metadata repositories, evaluate metadata tools, and advise less experienced team members

  • Lead problem investigation/prevention and drive strategic thinking and policy alignment

  • Turn business problems into data design spanning business areas and common solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Experience designing and implementing data models (conceptual, logical, physical)

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)

  • Experience with lakehouse technologies (e.g., Databricks, Unity, Spark, Lake Formation)

  • Familiarity with agentic tools and processes: GenAI for data pipeline code, LLM for mapping and annotation

  • Experience with ETL tools and processes; strong SQL and scripting skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms; knowledge of data governance principles and best practices
