Description

You will help drive enterprise architecture efforts by translating complex business-oriented target architectures into concrete system landscapes and migration roadmaps, using capability-based planning. You will support decentralized business domain architects with capability maps, target images and roadmaps, and ensure consistency by consolidating partial architectures into an overall enterprise architecture roadmap. You will also perform as-is/to-be analyses, prepare architecture boards and decision proposals, and establish standardized modeling practices to avoid redundancy.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and provide sparring for decentralized business domain architects on capability maps, domain target images, and roadmaps

  • Consolidate partial target images into a consistent end-to-end architecture roadmap and evolve architecture principles and technology guardrails

  • Conduct as-is/to-be assessments and architecturally support cross-cutting strategic projects to ensure alignment with the IT target picture

  • Prepare architecture boards and decision documents; coordinate operationally between business target pictures and enterprise architecture

  • Establish unified modeling standards to reduce workload for DBA leads and prevent cross-domain redundancies

Requirements

  • In-depth enterprise architecture knowledge and proven experience designing and operationalizing complex business-oriented target architectures (capability-based planning)

  • Ability to structure and translate abstract target images into concrete system landscapes and understandable migration paths

  • Experience steering large projects aligned to strategic target images within agile or hybrid operating models

  • Strong stakeholder management skills for confident moderation between decentralized architects, project leads, and external partners

  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset prioritizing evolutionary progress (“good enough”)

  • Very good German and English skills; willingness to work mainly at the international headquarters in Neckarsulm
