Description

Drive enterprise architecture for business-oriented target visions and operationalize complex architectures using capability-based planning. Translate abstract target images into concrete system landscapes and migration paths, and steer large projects along strategic targets within agile or hybrid operating models. Support domain architects with capability maps, roadmaps, and standardized modeling to ensure consistent architecture alignment across domains.

Responsibilities

• Provide methodological guidance and sparring for decentralized business domain architects (capability maps, domain target images, roadmaps)

• Consolidate partial target images into a consistent overall architecture roadmap; develop architecture principles and technology guardrails

• Perform current-to-target (As-Is/To-Be) analyses and provide architecture support for strategic cross-cutting projects to ensure alignment with the IT target picture

• Prepare architecture board materials and decision templates; coordinate operational alignment of business target images with the enterprise architecture

• Establish uniform modeling standards to reduce burden on the DBA lead and prevent redundancies across domains

Requirements

• In-depth enterprise architecture understanding with proven experience conceiving and operationalizing complex, business-oriented target architecture (capability-based planning)

• Ability to structure and translate abstract target images into concrete system landscapes and clear migration paths

• Experience steering large projects aligned to strategic target visions within agile or hybrid operating models

• Strong stakeholder management to moderate between decentralized architects, project leads, and external partners

• Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset prioritizing evolutionary progress (“good enough”)

• Very good German and English skills; willingness to work predominantly at the international headquarters in Neckarsulm
