Description

As a Product Owner, you will lead end-to-end analysis and planning for payment processes, mapping data flows, dependencies, and improvement recommendations. You will model the transaction lifecycle from initiation to settlement with regulatory aspects in mind, and work with payment service providers to negotiate collaboration models and oversee integrations. The role also requires coordinating project work with multiple stakeholders and creating business and pre-implementation project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end analysis of payment processes: map flows, identify dependencies, and recommend improvements

• Model transaction lifecycle from initiation to settlement, including regulatory considerations

• Collaborate with payment service providers: negotiate collaboration models and oversee integrations

• Analyze regulatory compliance for PSD2, SEPA, instant payments, and European requirements

• Coordinate delivery: manage initiatives, monitor schedule, and risks

• Create project documentation: business analyses, pre-implementation/conceptual analyses, and work breakdown structures

Requirements

• Business-domain knowledge covering key processes and operating models in the payment market

• At least 3 years of experience in payments, retail banking, or fintech in operational or development projects

• Very good knowledge of end-to-end payment processes and their system/business dependencies

• Knowledge of the full transaction lifecycle from initiation, through authorization, to settlement

• Knowledge of the payment service provider market and partner collaboration models

• Understanding of regulatory requirements for electronic payments in the financial sector

• Knowledge of SEPA standards and instant payment mechanisms in the European context

• Experience with APIs and system integrations (design, analysis, and data-flow oversight)

• Experience managing projects or programs in a multi-stakeholder environment
