Description

You will work on the Connector 2.0 backend, combining hands-on development with technical leadership. Your responsibilities include defining and planning technical tasks, making backend technology decisions, evolving the backend architecture, and mentoring the team. You will also build features in Java 17+ and Spring Boot and develop integrations using Apache Kafka and Apache Camel.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in defining and planning technical tasks
  • Analyze, verify, and plan the evolution of technologies used in the project
  • Make technology decisions for backend development
  • Develop and maintain the backend architecture
  • Implement new technologies and standards across project teams
  • Provide technical mentoring and training
  • Design and develop solutions with Java 17+ and Spring Boot
  • Develop integrations with Apache Kafka and Apache Camel
  • Implement new system functionalities
  • Create and maintain unit and integration tests
  • Work with microservices architecture in a container environment
  • Help the team analyze and solve complex technical problems
  • Ensure technical quality, architectural consistency, and software engineering standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial Java development experience (Java 8+)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Java 17+
  • Minimum 2 years in a Tech Lead/Technical Lead role for a Java backend team
  • Expert-level knowledge of Apache Kafka
  • Expert-level knowledge of Apache Camel
  • Expert-level knowledge of Spring Boot
  • Experience designing and evolving microservices architecture
  • Experience working with container environments
  • Knowledge of Docker and Nomad
  • Very good knowledge of relational databases
  • Experience with ORM solutions, especially Hibernate
  • Knowledge of GitLab and Maven
  • Experience creating unit and integration tests (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)
  • Knowledge of object storage (MinIO)
  • Knowledge of XPath 2.0
  • Knowledge of integration platforms/APIs/channels used by energy operators, especially Unicorn ECP/EDXB
  • Very good knowledge of design patterns
  • Ability to make independent technical decisions
  • High responsibility and punctuality
  • Ability to collaborate with the developer team
  • Very good communication and mentoring skills
