Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join a technology team in Kraków. You will design and deliver robust, scalable, high-performance backend solutions for enterprise-scale applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA engineers, and other development teams to deliver high-quality software
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to technical architecture decisions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices and coding standards
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members where required
• Contribute to CI/CD implementation and DevOps initiatives
• Work effectively within Agile/Scrum teams

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
• Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and modern development tools
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery best practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
