Description

Senior Java Developer will participate in implementing and developing an Enterprise system, integrating it with a complex ecosystem of business systems. The solution will support process automation, workflows, system integrations, and modern AI technologies. The role covers backend component development and event-driven integrations within a distributed, scalable, resilient architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in implementation and ongoing development of the Enterprise system
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into software solutions
  • Design, implement, and maintain integrations between systems using APIs, events, and integration services
  • Build and develop backend components using Java, Spring/Spring Boot/Spring Cloud, and Hibernate
  • Work with asynchronous communication and event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka
  • Contribute to distributed system solutions emphasizing resilience, scalability, and performance
  • Support configuration, parameterization, and extension of the delivered solution
  • Collaborate with an international system supplier on requirements analysis, change design, issue resolution, and product version planning
  • Evaluate platform standard capabilities and select the best approach (configuration, product extension, or dedicated implementation)
  • Support data migration, environment integration, and rollout of new functionalities
  • Create and develop unit and integration tests and participate in system testing
  • Take part in code review, configuration review, and integration solution reviews
  • Diagnose and optimize performance of developed solutions
  • Actively use AI and Agentic AI tools for analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in Java
  • Very good knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate
  • Minimum 3 years practical experience with Apache Kafka
  • Very good knowledge of SQL
  • Experience in designing and developing applications for distributed systems
  • Knowledge of patterns and mechanisms ensuring resilience and service reliability
  • Experience creating unit and integration tests (JUnit, TestNG, Spock, Testcontainers, WireMock)
  • Knowledge of OOP and Functional Programming approaches
  • Experience in containerizing applications
  • Knowledge of process engines and BPMN notation
  • Practical knowledge of React and experience building frontend applications
  • Knowledge of tools for application performance diagnostics and analysis
  • Ability to use and adopt AI tools in the software development process
  • English level at least B2 (also oral communication)
  • Willingness to work hybrid (minimum 1 day per week in the office)
