Description

Shape and govern end-to-end Financial Crime solutions for capabilities including Transaction Screening and Monitoring, pKYC/pKYB, sanctions, CDD, EDD, and Customer Risk Assessment. Translate business, regulatory, and compliance requirements into practical, scalable and compliant enterprise architectures, and drive target-state designs and multi-year roadmaps. Act as an architecture advisor and ensure quality through assessments, peer reviews, and governance across Agile engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and govern Financial Crime solutions across the full lifecycle with scalability, robustness, and regulatory compliance

  • Define target-state architectures and multi-year roadmaps for Financial Crime systems

  • Set architectural direction for AML transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, fraud prevention, and risk scoring

  • Support architectural assessments related to mergers and acquisitions

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, patterns, and governance

  • Advise CIO, Financial Crime Compliance, Operations, and Data teams

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure solutions follow architecture standards

  • Represent architecture in regulatory, audit, and risk forums when required

  • Conduct peer reviews and validate engineering designs to maintain architectural integrity

  • Oversee decommissioning, data archival, and migration approaches aligned with governance

  • Promote secure, compliant design patterns aligned with Financial Crime regulatory obligations

  • Mentor engineering and design peers and support Agile delivery best practices

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Solution Architect in complex financial services environments

  • Strong knowledge of core Financial Crime domains: AML, sanctions, transaction monitoring, screening, KYC/KYB, EDD, and customer risk scoring

  • Proven ability to design functional and logical architectures, system interaction models, and integration patterns

  • Experience with RESTful API design, versioning, and messaging or event-driven architectures

  • Hands-on experience producing As-Is and Target architectures, roadmaps, and transition states

  • Experience ensuring solutions comply with enterprise-level architectural frameworks, standards, and governance

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Delivery-focused and comfortable working independently in fast-moving environments

  • Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and thought leadership
