Description

You will shape and govern end-to-end Financial Crime solution architecture, ensuring scalability, robustness, and regulatory compliance. The role translates business, regulatory, and compliance requirements into implementable architectures and multi-year roadmaps. You will collaborate across CIO, Financial Crime Compliance, Operations, Data, and engineering teams, and lead design reviews and governance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and govern Financial Crime solutions across the full lifecycle
  • Define target-state architectures and multi-year roadmaps
  • Set architectural direction for AML transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, fraud prevention, and risk scoring
  • Translate regulatory/compliance requirements into practical architecture
  • Contribute architectural assessments for mergers and acquisitions
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, patterns, and governance
  • Advise CIO, compliance, operations, and data stakeholders
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure solutions meet architecture standards
  • Represent architecture in regulatory, audit, and risk forums
  • Conduct peer reviews and validate engineering designs
  • Oversee decommissioning, data archival, and migration approaches within governance
  • Promote secure, compliant design patterns aligned with Financial Crime obligations
  • Champion architectural best practices across squads and Agile delivery teams
  • Mentor peers and support a culture of quality and ownership

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Solution Architect in complex financial services
  • Deep knowledge of Financial Crime domains: AML, sanctions, transaction monitoring/screening, KYC/KYB, EDD, and customer risk scoring
  • Proven ability to design functional/logical architectures, system interaction models, and integration patterns
  • Experience with RESTful API design, versioning, and messaging or event-driven architectures
  • Hands-on experience producing As-Is and Target architectures, roadmaps, and transition states
  • Experience ensuring compliance with enterprise-level architectural frameworks, standards, and governance
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Delivery-focused and pragmatic; comfortable working independently in fast-moving environments
