• Role: IT Analyst supporting metadata catalog enrichment for banking systems

Description

You will help build and expand a data catalog containing metadata descriptions for database objects (e.g., tables and columns). You’ll analyze banking system documentation and, when information is missing, obtain details from system analysts and other experts. In some cases, you’ll profile and analyze data from database columns to validate or complete metadata descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and maintain metadata descriptions for tables, columns, and other data elements

• Analyze documentation from banking systems and information from multiple sources

• Identify missing metadata and collect it in collaboration with system analysts and experts

• Hold discussions with business and technical stakeholders to clarify data requirements

• Profile and analyze database data when documentation is incomplete

• Verify quality, consistency, and completeness of metadata and ensure it matches available documentation

• Use knowledge of database structures, data models, and data flows to interpret findings correctly

• Contribute to the development and standardization of metadata management processes, including use of available GenAI tools

Requirements

• Experience working as an analyst

• Ability to work with metadata and documentation

• Ability to analyze information from different sources and systems

• Knowledge of databases: Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL

• Ability to conduct discussions with business and technical stakeholders and obtain required information
