Description

You will administer and maintain Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) and OpenShift on-premise environments, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance. The role covers monitoring and troubleshooting of production clusters (performance, availability, capacity), plus 2nd-line support across OpenShift and related topics. You will also automate administrative processes, collaborate with developers on deployment, and maintain technical operational documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) and OpenShift on-premise environments
  • Manage multiple OpenShift clusters in cloud and virtualized environments
  • Perform upgrades, configuration changes, and maintenance activities
  • Monitor performance, availability, and capacity of OpenShift platforms
  • Provide 2nd-line support for OpenShift and related areas: containerization, networking, storage, and security
  • Collaborate with development teams on containerizing applications and deploying them on OpenShift
  • Automate administrative processes and implement improvements to increase environment efficiency
  • Create and update technical documentation, operational procedures, instructions, and standards
  • Participate in on-call duty for critical production systems

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of Linux system administration experience (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux, RHEL)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with OpenShift environments
  • Practical knowledge of container platforms and container orchestration
  • Experience administering production environments with high availability
  • Ability to work independently and support less experienced team members
  • Experience creating technical and operational documentation
  • Very good communication and organizational skills
  • Accuracy, responsibility, and a proactive approach
  • English proficiency at least B2
