Openshift administrator

Responsibilities

• Install, manage, and maintain ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift) and on-premise OpenShift infrastructure across virtual and cloud environments, including cluster installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Monitor and optimize the performance, capacity, and availability of OpenShift environments.
• Provide second-line support for OpenShift, container orchestration, networking, storage, security, and other OpenShift environment components.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation supporting critical production systems.
• Produce support, administration, maintenance, and infrastructure-evolution documentation, including standard operating procedures, manuals, guides, release notes, policies, checklists, workflows, presentations, and proposals.
• Support application development teams with containerizing applications and migrating them to OpenShift.
• Research, prepare, and implement OpenShift and ARO environment changes to increase automation, efficiency, effectiveness, confidentiality, integrity, availability, compliance, and reliability.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Linux system administrator, preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience working in an OpenShift environment.
• Expertise in container orchestration frameworks such as OpenShift.
• Ability to work independently and guide junior staff.
• Experience writing specifications, concept documents, end-user documentation, and technical documentation; ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders on technical and user requirements.
• Service-oriented attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Organizational and multitasking skills in a highly demanding environment.
• Initiative, responsibility, accuracy, and attention to detail.
