Description

For a long-term international initiative modernizing application platforms and infrastructure, the project uses a Red Hat OpenShift platform for next-generation applications. The main workload is a Data Platform that centralizes data exchange between applications using a Document (JSON) data model, while other applications are being migrated to OpenShift to communicate with it.

Responsibilities

  • Install, manage and maintain OpenShift infrastructure, including Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) and on-premises OpenShift environments

  • Manage multiple OpenShift clusters across virtualized and cloud environments (installation, configuration and upgrades)

  • Monitor and optimize performance, capacity and availability of OpenShift environments

  • Act as 2nd Line Support for OpenShift, container orchestration, networking, storage, security, and other aspects of the OpenShift environment

  • Participate in an on-call rotation providing 24/7 support for critical production systems

  • Produce documentation related to support, administration, maintenance and evolution of ARO and OpenShift infrastructure (SOPs, manuals/guides, release notes, policies, checklists, workflows, presentations, proposals, etc.)

  • Support OpenShift AppDev activities, including containerizing applications and moving them onto OpenShift

  • Research, prepare and implement changes to ARO and OpenShift environments to increase task automation, efficiency/effectiveness, confidentiality, integrity, availability, compliance, and reliability

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working directly in an OpenShift environment

  • Expertise in container orchestration platforms such as OpenShift

  • Ability to work independently and provide guidance to junior team members

  • Experience writing specifications, concept documents, end-user documentation and technical documentation

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders regarding technical and user requirements

  • Service-oriented mindset and well-developed interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a demanding environment

  • Initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities

  • University degree

  • EU citizenship required

  • Based and authorized to work within the European Union
