Description

We are looking for an On-Prem OpenShift Administrator for a strategic European security and border protection project. The work includes development and maintenance of a modern application platform based on Red Hat OpenShift running on-premises, supporting application migration and developing a central data platform. The role is responsible for administration and maintenance of OpenShift on-premises environments: stability, performance, security, and the infrastructure supporting cluster operations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters on-premises

  • Install, configure, update, and optimize OpenShift platform components

  • Troubleshoot OpenShift issues related to containerization, network, storage, and security in on-premises environments

  • Monitor environment health, performance, availability, and resource utilization

  • Analyze incidents and take actions to ensure cluster stability and continuity

  • Collaborate on designing and maintaining highly available OpenShift on-premises environments

  • Collaborate with developers on application containerization and migration to OpenShift

  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams on networking, storage, Linux systems, and security

  • Participate in 24/7 on-call duties for critical production environments

  • Improve administrative and operational processes via automation and best practices

  • Create and update technical documentation and operational specifications

  • Provide technical support to less experienced team members and share knowledge

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience administering Linux systems (preferred RHEL)

  • Minimum 3 years practical experience administering OpenShift environments

  • Very good knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and container orchestration

  • Practical experience administering OpenShift running on-premises

  • Very good knowledge of server infrastructure, networking, storage, and security

  • Ability to independently lead administrative tasks and resolve technical problems

  • Knowledge of high availability, reliability, and production continuity

  • Willingness to support and share knowledge with less experienced team members

  • Experience preparing technical specifications and operational documentation

  • Very good communication skills and experience collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups

  • Good organization of work, diligence, and ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
