Description

Join the industrial firmware team to build high-quality software and firmware for industrial energy products. You will develop and debug software/firmware in Python, C, C++, and Rust, integrate current/next-generation hardware and firmware, and support scalable service/commissioning workflows. Work across hardware, firmware, software, and service engineering to deliver secure, reliable, and production-ready system changes.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and debug software and firmware components in Python, C, C++, and Rust

• Perform hardware/firmware integration for industrial energy products

• Design robust and exhaustive test procedures for high voltage power electronics, battery modules, and thermal systems

• Develop, integrate, and debug system-level features and release changes to production

• Contribute to software architecture and integration into manufacturing processes/production lines

• Track and communicate project status and risks; collaborate with engineers across multiple teams

• Perform hardware bring-up, debug issues, and devise solution paths

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 12-week, full-time (40 hours/week) on-site commitment

• Hands-on experience with electrical and software engineering components and HW/SW interaction

• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality Python software solutions

• Strong analytical problem-solving in complex HW/SW systems

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• Interest in manufacturing analytics and metrics (first-pass yield, cycle time, test coverage, failure modes)

• Familiarity with JSON, Protobuf, REST, HTTP/S, Ethernet, and CAN

• Familiarity with basic electrical concepts

• Firmware validation mindset with Continuous Integration workflows (unit tests, software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop) and participation in firmware testing

Expected Compensation

$20.00 - $50.00 per hour plus benefits (varies by market/location, skills, and experience).
