Description

You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers to design, build, test, and operate scalable, reliable services that solve real customer problems. As an intern, you’ll own the lifecycle of your code—from design through deployment and ongoing operations—while participating in code reviews and creating technical documentation. You’ll also use GenAI and AI-powered tools to boost productivity while critically validating and integrating AI-generated code responsibly.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate innovative products and services with a cross-disciplinary team

  • Break down complex, ambiguous problems into well-defined components before implementation

  • Contribute to the design and development of scalable, reliable services (distributed-systems scope varies by team)

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback

  • Contribute to clear and accurate technical documentation

  • Use GenAI/AI tools to enhance development productivity; verify and integrate AI-generated code with sound judgment

  • Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns (including AI-assisted)

  • Work in an agile environment, practice CI/CD, and participate in operational responsibilities including on-call duties

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to demonstrate operational excellence

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields

  • Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language: Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, TypeScript

  • Experience with data structure implementation and basic algorithm development and/or object-oriented design principles

  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools in academic or professional settings

  • Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to a 12-week internship

  • Expected degree conferral date between October 2027 and September 2029

  • At least one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in studies after the internship concludes
