Description

Own key technical initiatives across an e-commerce platform to improve customer experience, platform performance, and cost efficiency. Help split the current monolith into a more scalable architecture and drive improvements across tracking, integrations, and core platform capabilities, making decisions with both engineering quality and business impact in mind. This role is focused on rebuilding key parts of the stack, not just maintaining existing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own key technical initiatives across the e-commerce platform
• Improve customer experience, platform performance, and cost efficiency
• Split parts of the current monolith into a more scalable architecture
• Drive technical improvements across tracking, integrations, and core platform capabilities
• Make strong technical decisions with engineering quality and business impact
• Help shape future e-commerce stack architecture
• Solve complex problems with high ownership and strong execution
• Potentially support adjacent areas (e.g., Finance Ops) depending on profile

Requirements

• Strong Principal Engineer / Tech Lead profile
• Experience building and scaling customer-facing digital products
• Strong background in PHP/Java, React and Next.js
• Good understanding of APIs, GraphQL, performance, and scalable system design
• Data-oriented mindset and strong product/business understanding
• High ownership and strong problem-solving ability
• Strong individual contributor who can provide technical leadership
• E-commerce experience is a strong advantage
