Description

Lead and evolve a four-person QA team and take ownership of QA strategy and processes across projects. You will act as a bridge between clients, project managers, and developers, while remaining hands-on in complex areas like test automation, test architecture, test data, and testing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QA team, provide support via 1:1s, and drive feedback without drama

• Define and maintain QA processes (test plans, bug report formats, and automation decisions)

• Perform both manual and automated testing

• Test APIs and validate network/HTTP behavior

• Plan QA capacity with a forward-looking view: test calendars, regression prioritization around sprints, and release risk estimation

• Recruit and develop team members (e.g., grow juniors toward medior)

• Introduce AI into the team’s QA workflow and evaluate time savings

Requirements

• Experience leading people

• Proven ability to set up and continuously improve QA processes (test plans, bug report formats, where to automate)

• Hands-on knowledge of manual and automated testing

• Experience with Cypress or Playwright

• API testing experience with Postman or Proxyman

• Understanding of HTTP status codes (e.g., HTTP 200 vs 400)

• Strong communication in Czech and English, including explaining bug priority to non-technical stakeholders

• Experience recruiting and developing testers

• Knowledge of QA tools (Qase, Zephyr, Azure) and metrics such as defect leakage and coverage

• Willingness to integrate AI into QA workflows
